Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled DoD Acquisition Data Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition processes, policies, and data management. As the DoD Acquisition Data SME, you will support projects by providing critical insights, data analysis, and expert recommendations to guide decision-making and improve acquisition outcomes.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Analyze, interpret, and present complex acquisition data to drive informed decision-making for DoD projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all DoD acquisition regulations, guidelines, and best practices, including FAR, DFARS, and other federal contracting protocols.
  • Provide expert-level advice and guidance on acquisition processes, identifying potential risks and opportunities for improvement in current operations.
  • Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders, including government clients and contractors, to ensure acquisition objectives are met.
  • Oversee the execution of acquisition strategies, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget while maintaining high standards of performance.
  • Lead efforts to manage and structure acquisition-related data, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and proper documentation for all relevant projects.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members on acquisition processes, data interpretation, and compliance requirements.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of experience working with DoD acquisition processes, with an emphasis on data management and analysis.
    • Proven track record of successfully supporting acquisition projects within the DoD or federal contracting environment.
    • Familiarity with the FAR, DFARS, and other federal acquisition regulations.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data sets.
    • Proficient in using acquisition data management tools and software.
    • Active security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
    • Experience with emerging technologies in data analytics, AI, or automation within defense acquisitions.
    • Certifications such as DAWIA Level III, PMP, or CFCM.
